1968-15 Rezoning Lots in Baranof Heights Subdivisioni
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
ORDINANCE NUMBER 68 -15-0
AN ORDINANCE REZONING LOTS SEVEN (7) THROUGH NINE (9),
BLOCK FOUR (4), and LOTS SIX (6) THROUGH NINE (9), BLOCK SEVEN
(7), BARANOF HEIGHTS, FROM R -2 TO R -3.
WHEREAS, AS 07.15.340 empowers the Borough to enact a
zoning ordinance and provides for its administration, enforcement
and amendment, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough, has pursuant thereto
adopted Chapter Five (5) of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions,
which provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedures,
and
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted by
the Kodiak Island Borough, Lots Seven (7) through Nine (9), Block
Four (4), and Lots Six (6) through Nine (9), Block Seven (7),

WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has been petitioned
by Derald Schoon, the owner of the property above described, for a
reclassification of that property from R -2 to R -3, and
WHEREAS, the proposed reclassification has been approved
by the Planning and Zoning Commission on July 10, 1968, and said
reclassification has been recommended to the Assembly, and the
Assembly being fully advised in the premises and believing it to
be in the best interests of good planning and proper zoning pro-
cedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly
of the Kodiak Island Borough that Lots Seven (7) through Nine (9),
Block Four (4), and Lots Six (6) through Nine (9), Block Seven (7),
of Baranof Heights Subdivision, now classified R -2 be and the same
is hereby reclassified as R -3, and that notice of this ordinance
be given by publication in the "Kodiak Mirror" seven (7) days prior
to the second reading of this ordinance, and that public hearing
be held thereon on the date of the second reading, and that

Subdivision, is zoned R -2, and
publication of this ordinance be made by posting a copy hereof
on the Borough Assembly Bulletin Board for a period of ten (10)
days following its passage and approval and publishing a resumg
hereof in the Kodiak Mirror, and that this ordinance become
effective at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
