AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6, SUB - SECTION 3 OF THE
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY ADDING
A PROVISION THERETO_ AUTHORIZING THE BOROUGH TO CONVEY LAND TO
INCORPORATED CITIES OF ANY CLASS OR LOCAL POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS
WITHIN THE BOROUGH FOR A NOMINAL CONSIDERATION
BE IT ORDAINED
Chapter 6, Section 3 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code
of Ordinances and Resolutions is hereby repealed and re enacted to
read as follows:
Chapter 6, Section 3. Public Use:
A. The lease or permit to use any borough lands may be
made to any state or federal agency, political subdivision of the
State, or public utility, for less than the appraised value, as ma
be determined by the Borough Chairman with the approval of the
Borough Assembly to be in the best interests of the public.
B. Any borough lands lying and being within an incor-
porated city of any class or other local political subdivision wit
in the borough and not being presently used or needed for borough
purposes may be conveyed to any such incorporated city or local
political subdivision for less thatn the appraised value of said
lands by a resolution of the Borough Assembly specifically authori
ing the Borough Chairman to execute such a conveyance when deemed
necessary in the interests of the public.
