ORDINANCE NUMBER 67 -18 -0
AN ORDINANCE REZONING MONASHKA BAY SUBDIVISION FROM
CONSERVATION TO UNCLASSIFIED.
WHEREAS, AS 07.15.340 empowers the Borough to enact a
zoning ordinance and provides for its administration, enforcement
and amendment, and,
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has pursuant thereto
adopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions, which
provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedure, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted by
the Kodiak Island Borough the Monashka Bay Subdivision, Kodiak
Recording Precinct, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, is
zoned "Conservation", and,
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning
Commission on October 19, 1967, has approved on its own initiative
a reclassification from "Conservation" to "Unclassified ", and the
Assembly being fully advised in the premises and it is determined
that the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good
zoning practice requires the said reclassification,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly of
the Kodiak Island Borough that Monashka Bay Subdivision, now
classified "Conservation ", be and the same is hereby reclassified
as "Unclassified ", and that notice of this ordinance be given in
the Kodiak Mirror seven (7) days prior to the second reading of
this ordinance, and that public hearing be held thereon at the date
of the second reading, and this ordinance shall become effective at
the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
