AN ORDINANCE REZONING A PORTION OF THE BARANOF HEIGHTS
SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF KODIAK FROM UNCLASSIFIED TO BUSINESS.
WHEREAS, AS 07.15.340 empowered the BOROUGH to enact a
zoning ordinance and provided for its administration, enforcement
and amendment, and
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has pursuant thereto
adopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions; which
provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedure, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehunsive plan adopted
by the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH,
that -- portion -a€ U.S. Survey 139 Kodiak- Li a
Borough, State of Alaska, more particularly described
as follows: Commencing at corner 4 U.S. Survey
1396, thence N. 34° 43' W., 588.88 feet along the
Easterly boundary of said U.S. Survey to the
northerly right -of -way line of Mill Bay Road; thence
S. 46° 44' 30" W., 611.50 feet along said right -
of -way; thence S. 51° 48' 00" W., 578.49 feet along
said right -of -way thence S. 51° 11' 00" W., 578.49
feet along said right -of -way to the Southwest corner
of Lot 32, Airpark Subdivision - the true point of
beginning; thence S. 51° 11' 00" W., 210.53 feet
along the Northerly right -of -way of Mill Bay Road,
thence S. 55 17' W. 147.02 feet along said right -
of -way; thence S. 34° 43' W., 167.44 feet along
said right -of -way to the Northeast corner of Lot
Twenty -two (22), Block One (1) Allman Addition,
thence N. 34° 43' West 224.77 feet; thence N. 48°
44' E., 517.18 feet; thence S. 34 43' E., 209.92
feet along the Westerly line of Lot Thirty -two (32),
Air Park Subdivision to the true point of beginning.
Said description contains 2.38 acres more or less,
and now unclassified.
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has been petitioned
by SAM BEST for BARANOF HEIGHTS, INC., the owner of property above
described for classification of Business.
WHEREAS, the proposed reclassification has been approve
by the Planning and Zoning Commission to the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
on the 28th day of June, 1967.

THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly of the
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that the above- described property be and the
same is. hereby classified as Business and that notice of this
,Ordinance be given in the Kodiak Mirror seven ( 7 ) days prior
to the second reading of this Ordinance and that public hearing
ibe held thereon on the date of the second reading and the publica-
tion of this Ordinance be made by posting copies hereof on the
Borough Assembly bulletin board for a period of ten (10) days fol-
lowing its passage and approval, and publishing a resume hereof
in the Kodiak Mirror together with a notice of public hearing
thereon and mailing a copy of the same to the Kodiak Mirror.
