AN ORDINANCE REZONING LOTS FOUR (4) THROUGH EIGHT (8)
INCLUSIVE, BLOCK THIRTY -THREE (33) OF THE EAST ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF KODIAK AND LOTS ONE (1) THROUGH SIX (6) INCLUSIVE, ELEVEN (11),
TWENTY (20) THROUGH TWENTY -EIGHT (28) INCLUSIVE OF BLOCK ONE (1)
ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF THE CITY OF KODIAK FROM INDUSTRIAL TO BUSINESS.
WHEREAS, AS 07.15.340 empowered the BOROUGH to enact a
zoning ordinance and provided for its administration, enforcement
and amendment, and
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has pursuant thereto
adopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions, which
provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedure, and,
WHEREAS, Section 24 of Subchapter 2 of Chapter 5 of
the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH Code of Ordinances and Resolutions pro-
vides that the Borough Assembly may by ordinance amend, supplement,
modify, repeal or otherwise change the zoning regulations and
boundaries of district, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted
by the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lots Four (4) through Eight (8) incl
sive, Block Thirty -three (33) of the East Addition to the City of
Kodiak and Lots One (1) through Six (6) inclusive, Eleven (11),
Twenty (20) through Twenty -Eight (28) inclusive of Block One (1)
Original Townsite of the City of Kodiak is now classified as Indus
trial.
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has been petitioned
in part by T. T. FULLER and on the initiative of the PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION, for reclassification of Lots Four (4) through
Eight (8) inclusive, Block Thirty -Three (33) of the East Addition
to the City of Kodiak and Lots One (1) through Six (6) inclusive,
.Eleven (11), Twenty (20) through Twenty -eight (28) inclusive of
Block One (1) Original Townsite of Kodiak from Industrial to Busin = ss.

WHEREAS, the proposed reclassification has been approved
by the Planning and Zoning Commission to the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
on the 28th day of June, 1967.
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly of the
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that Lots Four (4) through Eight (8) inclu-
sive, Block Thirty -three (33) of the East Addition to the City of
Kodiak and Lots One (1) through Six (6) inclusive, Eleven (11),
Twenty (20) through Twenty -eight (28) inclusive of Block One (1)
Original Townsite of the City of Kodiak, be and the same are hereby
reclassified as Business and that notice of this Ordinance be
given in the Kodiak Mirror seven (7) days prior to the second read-
ing of this Ordinance and that public hearing be held thereon on
the date f the seconic reading and the publication of Ordi
be made by posting copies hereof on the Borough Assembly bulletin
board for a period of ten (10) days following its passage and
approval, and publishing a resume hereof in the Kodiak Mirror to-
gether with a notice of public hearing thereon and mailing a copy
of the same to the Kodiak Mirror.
First Reading and Approval Date: July 20, 1967.
Second Reading, Public Hearing and Passage Date: August , 1967.
