AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 2,OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY ADDING THERETO
EREIOE
NEW SECTION TO BE DESIGNATED AS SECTION 10 (B) (5) TO
SERVICE RECREATIONAL USES
BE IT ORDAINED:
Section 1. The Kodiak Island Borough Code of OrEnances
and Resolutions, Section 10, is hereby amended by adding thereto
a new section designated as Sectim 10 (B) (5) , as follows:
"Section 10.
B. Uses
5. Service recreational uses
a. Districts permitted: any
b. Principal uses permitted:
1. Public parks,.playg -rau -nds, recreational
and community buildingsand grounds, public golf courses,
tennis courts and similar recreational uses, all of a
non - commercial nature, provided that any principal build
ing or swimming pools shall be located not less than 45
feet from any other lot in a residential district.
2. Private, non - commercial, or non - profit
recreational areas, use and facilities, including countr
clubs, lodges, fraternal organizations, swimming pools
and golf courses, provided that any principal building
or swimming pool shall be located not less than 45 feet
from any other lot in a residential district.
3. City, Borough, State, Federal or Munici
pal corporation uses or buildings.
4. Riding stables, boat moorage, parks and
concessions.
c. Any others similar to the above mentioned
as determined by the Planning and Zoning Commission."
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective thirty
(30) days after its adoption.
ADOPTED BY THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY this
a day of February, 1967.
