ORDINANCE NUMBER 66 -14 -o
WHEREAS, Section 07.15.340, Alaska Stdutes, empowers the
BOROUGH to enact a zoning ordinance and provide for its administra
tion, enforcement and amendment, and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUH has pursuant thereto adopted
Ovinance No. 64 -5, and
WHEREAS, Section 23 of Ordinance No. 64 -5 provides that the
BOROUGH ASSEMBLY may by ordinance amend, supplement, modify, repea
or otherwise change the zoning regulations and boundary of distric's,
and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted by the
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lots One (1) through Twelve (12) of Block
One ('1), all of Block Two (2), Lots Thirteen (13) through Twenty -
three (23), Block One (1 ) and all of Blocks three (3), Four (4),
Five (5), Six (6) and Seven (7), within U.S. Survey No. 3469, kno
as the KADIAK SUBDIVISION and part of the proposed ISLAND BAY
SUBDIVISION, are now classified asuiclassified and
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has been petitioned by the
KARLUK LAND COMPANY, INCORPORATED, for a reclassification of Lots
One (1) through Twelve (12), Block One (1) of the proposed ISLAND
BAY SUBDIVISION from unclassified to Business; and for a reclassi.f
ication of Block Two (2) of the proposed ISLAND BAY SUBDIVISION
from unclassified to R -3; and for a reclassification of Lots
Thirteen (13) to Twenty -three (23) of Block One (1) and all of
Block Three (3), Four (4), Five (5), Six (6) and Seven (7) of the
proposed ISLAND BAY SUBDIVISION from unclassified to R -2 and the
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has considered this petition,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY of the
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that Lots One (1) through Twelve (12) of

Block -One (1), situated in U.S. Survey No. 3469, and a part of
the proposed ISLAND BAY SUBDIVISIONbe reclassified as business; an
that Two (2) of the proposed ISLAND BAY SUBDIVISION situated
within U.S. Survey No. 3469 be reclassified as R -3; and that Lots
Thirteen (13) through Twenty -three (23) of Block One (1) and all
of Blocks Three (3), Four (4), Five (5), Six (6) and Seven (7) of
the proposed ISLAND BAY SUBDIVISION situate in U.S. Survey No.
3469, be reclassified as R -2, and that notice of this ordinance
be given by publication in the Kodiak Mirrorfifteen (15) days
prior to the second reading of this ordinance and that a public
hearing be held thereon on the date of the second reading and that
publication of this ordinance be made by posting a copy hereof on
the Borough Assembly Bulletin Board for a period of ten (10) days
following its passage and approval and publishing a resume' hereof
in the Kodiak Mirror together with a notice of public hearing
thereon and mailing a copy of the same to the Kodiak // Mirror.
