FY1966-13 Zoning Ordinance for Kodiak Townsite, Block 15KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
ORDINANCE NUMBER 66 -13 -0
WHEREAS, Section 07.15.340, Alaska Statutes, empowers
the BOROUGH to enact a zoning ordinance and provide for its admin-
istration, enforcement and amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has pursuant
thereto adopted Ordinance No. 64 -5,and
WHEREAS, Section 23 of Ordinance No. 64 -5 provides
that the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY mayby ordinance amend, supplement, modif
repeal or otherwise change the zoning regulations and boundary of
districts, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted
by the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lot One (1) of Block Fifteen (15)
of the Kodiak Townsite is now classified as R -1, and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has been petitione
by STAN THORSHEIM for a reclassification of Lot One (1), Block
Fifteen (15), Kodiak Townsite, for a reclassification from R -1 to
Buaineu
and KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has considered this petition,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the BOROUGH ASSEMBL
of the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that Lot One (1), Block Fifteen (15)
of the Kodiak Townsite, now classified as R -1 be and the same is
hereby reclassified as business and that notice of this ordinance
be given by publication in the Kodiak Mirror 15. days' prior to
the second reading of this ordinance and that a public hearing be
heldthereon on the date of the second reading and that publicati
of this ordinance be made by posting a copy hereof on the Borough
Assembly bulletin board fdr a period of ten (10) days following
its passage and approval, and publishing a_resume' hereof in the
Kodiak Mirror, together with a notice of public hearing thereon
.and mailing a copy of the same to the Kodiak Mirror.
