FY1966-9 Zoning Ordinance for East Addition, Block 30KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
ORDINANCE NUMBER 66 -9 -0
WHEREAS, Section 07.15.340, Alaska Statutes, empowers
the Borough to enact a zoning ordinance and provide for its adminis-
tration, enforcement and amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has pursuant
: thereto adopted Ordinance No. 64 -5, and,
WHEREAS, Section 23 of Ordinance No. 64 -5 provides
i the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY may by ordinance amend, supplement, mod -
ify, repeal or otherwise change the zoning regulations and boundaries
of districts, and
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted'
by the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lots Fifteen (15), Sixteen (16) and
Seventeen (17) of Block Thirty (30), East Addition to the Townsite
of Kodiak have been zoned and are now classified as R -2, and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has been petitioned
by LOUIS IANI and FRED C. BRECHAN, for a reclassification of Lots
ilFifteen (15),.Sixteen (16) and Seventeen (17) of Block Thirty (30)
of the East Addition to the Townsite of Kodiak from R -2 to R -3,
and, saw petition has been considered by the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly
of the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that Lots Fifteen (15), Sixteen (16)
and Seventeen (17) of Block Thirty (30) of the East Addition to
the Townsite of Kodiak now classified as R -2, be and the same are
hereby reclassified as R -3, and that notice of this ordinance be
given by publication in the Kodiak Mirror one week prior to the
second reading of this ordinance and that a public hearing be held:
thereon on the date of the second reading and that publication of
this ordinance be made by posting a copy hereof on the Borough
Assembly bulletin board for period 1 r a of ten (10) days following
-its passage and approval and publishing a resume' hereof in the
Kodiak Mirror, together with the Notice of Public Hearing thereon
