FY1966-5 Zoning Ordinance for U.S. Survey 3098KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
ORDINANCE NUMBER 66 -5
WHEREAS, Section 07.15.340, Alaska Statutes, empowers
the Borough to enact a zoning ordinance and provide for its adminis-
tration, enforcement and amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has pursuant thereto
adopted Ordinance No. 64 -5, and,
WHEREAS, Section 23 of Ordinance No. 64 -5 provides that the
BOROUGH ASSEMBLY may by ordinance, amend, supplement, modify, re-
peal or otherwise change the zoning regulations and boundaries of
districts, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted by
the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lots Twenty -eight (28), Twenty -nine A
(29 -A) and Twenty -nine B (29 -B) of U.S. Survey No. 3098, were zone
residential unclassified, and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has been petitioied by
RUSSELL A. WRIGHT for a reclassification of Lots Twenty -eight (28);
Twenty -nine A (29 -A) and Twenty -nine B (29 -B) of U.S. Survey No.
3098, from residential unclassified to business, and pursuant to
said request the PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION of the KODIAK ISL -i
AND BOROUGH held a public hearing thereon on July 28, 1965, and
thereafter recommended the reclassification of said property from
residential unclassified to business,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, that by the BOROUGH ASSEM3-

LY of the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lots Twenty -eight (28), Twenty -nile
A (29 -A) and Twenty -nine B (29 -B) of U.S. Survey No. 3098 now
classified as residential unclassified, be and the same arehereby
'reclassified as business, and that notice of public hearing onthis

ordinance be given by publication in the Kodiak Mirror, one (1)
week prior to the second reading of this ordinance, and that a
public hearing be held hereon on the date of the second reading,
and that publication of this ordinance shall be made by posting
a copy hereof an the Borough Assembly bulletin board for a period
f ten (10) days following its passage and approval, and publishing
a resume' herein in the Kodiak Mirror, together with a Notice of
Public Hearing thereon, and mailing a copy of the same to the
Kodiak Mirror.
