ORDINANCE NUMBER 66- 4
WHEREAS, Section 07.15.340, Alaska Statutes, empowers the
OROUGH to enact a zoning ordinance and provide for its administra-
tion, enforcement and amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has pursuant thereto
opted Ordinance Number 64 -5, and,
WHEREAS, Section 23 of Ordinance No. 64 -5 provides that
the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY may by ordinance amend, supplement, modify,
repeal or otherwise change the zoning regulations and boundaries of
districts, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted by
the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lots Twelve (12) through Nineteen (19)
of the Thorsheim Street Subdivision of Lot Eighteen (18) of Block
Sixteen (16) of the Kodiak Townsite, was zoned R -3, and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has been petitioned
by GERALD REDICK for a re- classification of Lots Twelve (12) throug.
ineteen (19), Thorsheim Street Subdivision, of Lot Eighteen (08)
of Block Sixteen (16) of the Kodiak Townsite,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
of the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, that Lots Twelve (12) through Ninetee
(19) of the Thorsheim Street Subdivision of Lot Eighteen(18), Block
Sixteen (16) of the Kodiak Townsite, now classified as R -3, be and
the same is hereby reclassified as business, and that notice of
public hearing be given of this request for reclassification by
publication in the KODIAK MIRROR, one (1) week prior to the second
reading of this ordinance, and that a public hearing be held thereo

rdinance shall be made by posting a copy hereof on the Borough
