FY1966-3 Zoning Ordinance for Air Park SubdivisionKODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
ORDINANCE NUMBER 66 -3
WHEREAS, Section 07.15.340, Alaska Statutes, empowers
the Borough to enact a zoning ordinance and provide for its adminis-
tration, enforcement and amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has pursuant thereto
adopted ordinance no. 64 -5, and,
WHEREAS, Section 23 of Ordinance No. 64 -5 provides that
the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY may by ordinance amend, supplement, modify,
repeal or otherwise change the zoning regulations and boundaries
of districts, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted by
the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lots One (1) through thirty -two (32)
of Block One (1) of the Air Park Subdivision, is zoned residential
unclassified, and,
WHEREAS, the PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION of the KODIA
ISLAND BOROUGH has found on its own initiative that there is need
and justificatin for rezoning under Section 10 of ordinance no. 64-
and reclassification of Lots One (1) through Thirty -two (32) of
Block One (1) of Air Park Subdivision from residential unclassified
to business.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
of the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, that Lots One (1) through Thirty -two
(32) of Block One (1) of Air Park Subdivision now classified as
residential unclassified, be and the same is hereby reclassified asi
business,and that notice of public hearing on this ordinance be
given by publication in the Kodiak Mirror one (1) week prior to
the second reading of this ordinance and that a public hearing be

held on that date, and publication of this ordinance be made by
posting a copy hereof on the Borough Assembly bulletin board for
a period of ten (10) days folIwing its passage and approval, as
well as publication of a resume? in the Kodiak Mirror, together
with the notice of public hearing and mailing a copy to the Kodiak
Mirror.
First Reading and Approval Date: February 3, 1966
Second Reading, Public Hearing and Passage Date: February 17, 1966
