AC Contract No. 1992-02BETWEEN THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
and
KODIAK LONGLINE VESSEL OWNERS ASSOCIATION
THIS AGREEMENT is executed between the Kodiak Island
Borough (hereinafter called the "Borough"), and KOIDAK
LONGLINE VESSEL OWNERS' ASSOCIATION (hereinafter called the
"GRANTEE").
WITNESSETH that:
WHEREAS, the Borough has appropriated funds for the
purpose of promoting opposition to the Individual Fishing
Quota system; and
WHEREAS, the GRANTEE is willing to undertake the
performance of this grant under the terms of this Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows:
ARTICLE I. GRANT PURPOSE.
The purpose of the grant is to provide a monetary
contribution for Fiscal Year 1991-92.
ARTICLE II. GRANT CONDITIONS.
The GRANTEE:
1. Will allow, on request from the Borough, an audit
by the Borough of the uses made of the grant funds. All
records must be kept for a period of three (3) years.
2. Will return to the Borough all grant funds
received for operations, construction, or purchase of the
public facilities if the Borough, upon reviewing the
documentation provided and other evidence, determines that
substantial, ongoing work on the project has not begun
before June 1, 1992.
3. Will submit a year-end "grant report" (Exhibit
"A") which will include the financial and progress status of
this activity. This form is to be submitted by June 30,
1992 with copies of all expenditure documentation to:
Mayors Office, Kodiak Island Borough, 710 Mill Bay Road,
Kodiak, Alaska, 99615.
ARTICLE III. TERMS OF PAYMENT.
The total amount of the grant is $2,500.00 and shall be
paid to the GRANTEE in advance, within ten (10) days of the
effective date of this Agreement.
ARTICLE IV. ADDITIONAL CONTRACT PROVISIONS.
The effective date of this grant is the date the
