FY2016-21 <br />Assembly member Skinner <br />Assembly member Skinner <br />Borough Clerk/Assembly <br />member Skinner <br />06/02/2016 <br />07/21/2016 <br />08/04/2016 <br />08/04/2016 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH <br />AMENDING KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH PERSONNEL CODE CHAPTER 4 <br />HIRING AND ADVANCEMENT SECTION 402 JOB VACANCIES AND <br />SECTION 405 JOB POSTING TO ALLOW AN ALTERNATIVE FOR THE <br />BOROUGH TO RECRUIT NEW APPLICANTS <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance would allow an alternative for the borough to recruit new <br />applicants when a position becomes vacant; and <br />WHEREAS, the Borough wants to have efficient and flexible processes to ensure qualified <br />staff are recruited; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND <br />BOROUGH THAT: <br />Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a part of <br />the Kodiak Island Borough Personnel Manual. <br />Section 2: Amendments and revisions to the KIB Personnel Manual as identified below are <br />here by implemented upon adoption. <br />Section 3: KIB Personnel Manual Chapter 4 Hiring and Advancement Section 402 Job <br />vacancies is hereby amended as follows: <br />such an employee is the most qualified applicant for the position. <br />Applicants for promotions must meet the qualifications for the vacant <br />positions as described in the recruitment announcement.
